UA&P Fresh Start

Upon entry to the University, the guidance staff in cooperation with the Peer Facilitators annually organize a 4-day Orientation Program for freshmen. This activity aims to briefly introduceto them the history, the curriculum, and the culture of the University. It also aims to develop in each student an understanding of the rationale behind theUniversity’s mission and vision—as translated into concrete policies, traditions, and customs—not only to foster a better sense of belonging to his alma mater, but also to help him excel academically and positively contribute to the University’s co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The orientation consists of a regular series of short discussions on selected foundational principles, policies, as well as customs and traditions that underpin the University’s learning environment.

Freshman Development Program

The Freshman Development Program is a continuing program of the “Freshstart” to ensure the students’ complete adjustment to the University. This equips the students with tools and practical advice through a series of sessions and workshops on time management, study habits, social etiquettes, and safety tips, among others.
